NIAZAI

This documentary was made as part of a year-long non-fiction project at Narafi and focuses on the life story of Niazai Sanaulhaq. The film follows his journey since his arrival in Belgium and shows how, step by step, he builds a new life in Mechelen – with great dedication, perseverance, and hope for a better future. At the same time, the documentary makes clear that Niazai’s future here is anything but certain. Despite his hard work and strong involvement in society, he lives under the constant threat of losing everything once again.
